Jansen Potash Ventilation & Refrigeration Design
The project is currently ongoing for ventilation and refrigeration requirements for this specialised shaft sinking operation of this deep shaft.
A new ventilation and cooling system was designed, implemented and currently operating. This project applied a special shaft sinking methodology where a continuous sinking mechanical machine is applied for the two 1000 meter deep shafts.
Mine Ventilation Designs
Barrick, Goldcorp, Eldorado Gold, AngloGold, Goldfields, Harmony and many other gold companies are but a few that are listed with our design knowledge for their deep and shallow ore body designs. Projects generally involve current mines with deepening and/or expansion requirements. Heat loads are an important aspect of underground mines and our expertise provide counter measures to offset the heat load thereby ensuring a healthy environment for all people on surface and underground.
Barrick's Goldstrike Mine is located in Nevada, USA, and was taken from conceptual to feasibility and the new refrigeration plant and cooling stations (both on surface and underground) are currently being constructed.
Tunnel Ventilation Designs
Tunnel ventilation design and implementation is done as part of our overall services to the industry. Guatrain underground rail ventilation design and implementation in South Africa was done including tunnel ventilation systems in Niagara in Canada and Hong Kong.

We provides shaft sinking companies such as DMC, Murray & Roberts, Shaft Sinkers, Red Path, Cementation, Grinaker-LTA, and others with all their ventilation and cooling needs in design, implementation, and construction requirements for shaft sinking operations.
